Ce qui n’était pas photographie

In no particular order, the honorable mentions:

  • Steak tartare (and Matt’s food poisoning)

  • Steak tartare (and Kyle’s love for it)

  • Sunset dinner in Vézelay and the diversity of rooms in the La Compostelle Hotel on the bottom of the hill

  • An intense thunderstorm during sunrise over the Bourgogne Valley

  • Cat fights in dumpsters and giant spiders in Autun

  • Torrential downpours and live llamas for sale at a farmers market in Cluny

  • DÖNER KEBAB

  • The smell and eeriness of 700+ year old cathedrals

  • The unexplainable creepy vibe of Bourges

  • The organ concert in Chartres that could be heard across the town

  • Lisa being freaked out at how cheap Kyle and Anthony’s ticket prices to Europe were while in Laon

  • CIS Hostel, Champagne Bar, Hooker boots and Jeremy’s clutch to the back in Reims

    • This being the aftermath of Folkestad trying his hardest not to show he was wasted and forgot about his students

  • PARIS - Hotel Sophie Germain in the Latin Quarter down the road from a delicious sushi restaurant with hot towel service, and the ridiculously vast size of the Louvre Museum

  • Standing atop multiple Gothic cathedrals with Matt cursing blasphemy

  • Lisa (and Anthony) walking slow because we’re shorter than everyone else

  • Jeremy puking out of windows and using Anthony’s phone to make international calls to rub it in others’ (Jake S.) face how awesome France is

  • Hooker earings (yikes)

  • Random record stores in multiple cities (Jeremy) and nighttime cathedral walks in Bourges (Matt)
